Shanghai 2009: Race Result

Shanghai 2009: Race Result

With rain falling on the Shanghai circuit in China, today’s grand prix is going to make for interesting viewing. We have a strange front row with Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull taking pole position, and team mate Mark Webber is directly behind in third. Fernando Alonso barely has enough fuel in his Renault to complete the formation lap, so the Spaniard will be very fast off the line. In fourth and fifth we have the charging Brawns, and McLaren seem to on a good strategy with Lewis Hamilton, albeit in ninth.

And it has been announced the safety car will start the race due to the standing water. Therefore, Alonso will not get the chance to leap ahead of the Red Bull into T1.
