Here we have a photo depicting a conversation between Felipe Massa and his engineer Rob Smedley during a test session at the team’s Mugello circuit in Northern Italy. The facial expressions are great, but what are they discussing, and why is Rob holding one arm and keeping his other hand under the other arm?
“C’mon Smedley. You knew when you took the job that part of your gig was to give me a rub down after the race. Why the sudden discomfort? It’s just me you and towel. Big deal!”
“How can I convincingly hide my BO?…”
Massa: I know Kimi doesn’t ask his engineer to fetch his helmet but he can reach the shelf his is on.
Massa: For sure! If you give me your hand, my magic towel will make it much better.
Massa: For the last time…..I’m not driving a car with a horn…..
Flippy, I’m your engineer not your mother ! Put your own damn towel in the wash !
Smedley: KERS-proof towels? You’re making this up, aren’t you? (barely suppressed laughter)
I know you may find this hard to believe Rob but I had such a great season last year some people have completely forgotten Kimi exists. It’s true I tell you.
