Sebastian Vettel set the Istanbul Park circuit alight earlier with a display of awesome speed to claim pole position for tomorrow’s race. However, right behind the Red Bull pilot are the two Brawn drivers of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, who will want to continue their dominant form into the mid-season. Mark Webber is desperate to get his maiden victory in Formula One, and Jarno Trulli has looked relatively quick all weekend. The experience of Ferrari will help them and Felipe Massa seems to enjoy this track the most, dominating in previous years.
But who do you think will have what it takes to claim victory after the 58 laps of Istanbul Park tomorrow afternoon? Who has the car, the strategy and the strength to endure the massive quadruple-apexed T8 and beat the rest to the start/finish line on the final lap?

So long as Vettel makes a decent get away tomorrow then I reckon it’s his to lose. Unfortunately, his starts this season haven’t been particularly brilliant, but then Button starts on the dirty side of the circuit so it might play into his hands.
Seb is a couple of laps lighter than Button so it is imperative that he pulls away from the Briton as much as possible before making his first stop if it is going to work in his favour.
Reckon it will finish Vettel, Button and Webber tomorrow. Better do as I have money on Webber getting a podium!
Can’t even vote for the three-time defending champion?
I would like Vettel to win as it would keep the title fight a little more open. Or rather, the fight for second place. But I think Brawn has the strategy to put either Jenson or Rubens in P1 for the final lap.
I’ll be optimistic though and say VET, BUT, TRU. Assuming he can get the Brawn off the dirty side of the grid, that is.
Not sure what you mean by “three-time defending champion” 😉 but it’s made me realise I completely missed the Ferrari duo from the vote. Arghhh. Please don’t hate me Ferrari fans, it was a genuine mistake, I swear! 🙂 I’ll add them in a jiffy.
…which appears to have screwed up the poll results view. The number of votes is right, but the bar graph isn’t showing properly. The numbers are definitely right though, so I’ll assume that they will continue to be until the poll ends. This’ll teach me to get it right next time.
Ignore me, a little. It did screw up the bar graph line thingy, but as soon as I (or the user) voted (for Kimi, somewhat falsely) it sorted itself out. There is a bug obviously, but it isn’t the end of the world. Phew! 🙂
Champion was probably the wrong word – Turkish Grand Prix Winner would have been better. Obviously I meant Massa.
