Oliver WhiteFelipe Massa has charged to Formula One’s first ever night-time pole position at Singapore. The Ferrari pilot edged out Lewis Hamilton in the final session to take the top spot, and comfortably beat his team mate Kimi Raikkonen by 0.8s. After Moncao and Valencia, Massa is looking to be a street-circuit specialist. Heikki Kovalainen ran well in Q1 and Q2, but by the time the critical session came around, the Finn could only manage fifth. Fernando Alonso stopped at the start of Q2 with a fuel supply issue and Giancarlo Fisichella similarly didn’t set a lap time in Q1.

So Alonso qualified 15th, and won the race due to Piquet crashing.
