Oliver WhiteWith the second free practice session complete, Lewis Hamilton has managed to retain his leading position and once again went fastest in the McLaren MP4-25. Completing 27 laps the Briton went 0.2s quicker than Sebastian Vettel who improved on his morning form. Nico Rosberg continued to shine in the Mercedes to take P3 while team mate Michael Schumacher managed P5.
It wasn’t plain-sailing for the McLaren duo though, who both reported the softer option tyre as troublesome, Jenson Button complaining of understeer and rear-end instability. It was because of this that many drivers skipped over the gravel and visited the scenery during the 90 minute session. Heikki Kovalainen returned to the Lotus cockpit while Vitantonio Liuzzi took over from Paul Di Resta in the Force India.
