Maranello based Ferrari have unveiled their 2007 car to the world and waiting media. Launched at Fiorano, the F2007 encompasses an innovative design that will hopefully power Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa to victories during the upcoming season. This Ferrari is the 53rd to be built by the marque, and while photographers were barred from the unveiling, Ferrari have released their own images, shown below.
The F2007 includes a re-worked front suspension, which the team describe as “a major conceptual innovation, mainly in terms of aerodynamics”. The car features a longer wheelbase than previous, and a narrower rear end around the gearbox housing. The sidepods have undergone some re-modelling as well, as has the engine air-intake above the drivers head.
The rear suspension setup is much the same as was in 2006, but the team hope to introduce new parts before the season opener in Melbourne in March. Felipe Massa will shake the car down tomorrow as he laps the Fiorano track for the first time in the F2007.
