Nico Rosberg Likely To Start From Pitlane

Nico Rosberg is enduring a difficult weekend. The young Williams pilot has announced he may end up starting tomorrow’s British Grand Prix from the pitlane. The reason for this change of position comes down to whether or not the team pull his car form the Parc Ferme. Rosberg’s FW30 is suffering some kind of suspension problem and according to the driver, it started on Friday and hasn’t been resolved. The Grove-based team have stripped the vehicle down and replaced some parts, but during qualifying the car was still bouncing around.

Needless to say, qualifying didn’t go well for Nico and the pilot complained that he would never really know what the car was going to do next as he went through the corners. The team took the car apart last night but they cannot find a solution and Rosberg has had to carry the problem through the weekend thus far.

It’s making the car really hard to drive in the corners because it just jumps around all over the place. We’ve obviously been trying to find a solution throughout the sessions but, so far, nothing has worked. I will probably start the race from the pitlane, because we will have to change a lot of things on the car. Nico Rosberg.

Nico’s car, along with every other driver’s, is currently in Parc Ferme at the Silverstone circuit. This means the team cannot make changes or replace any parts. But with the FW30 is suffering a race-ending problem; the team don’t really have much choice in the matter. If they do take the car apart again, Rosberg will be sent to the back of the grid. Considering he qualified in 18th, two places won’t make that much a difference.
