Jerez Test Day Four: Vettel Goes Fastest On Final Day

Sebastian Vettel - December 2007 Jerez TestThe final day of testing took place earlier today at Jerez in Spain, and the fastest man of the day was Sebastian Vettel in the Scuderia Toro Rosso. The young German lapped the circuit in 1m18.213s on slick tyres, 0.2s faster than second placed driver Robert Kubica. Vettel’s team mate Sebastien Bourdais completed the session in eighth while Marco Asmer took to the second BMW and finished up in thirteenth ahead of the two Force Indias.

Williams enjoyed a productive day on a slightly clearer circuit, with Nico Rosberg in third and Kazuki Nakajima in fifth, sandwiching the Ferrari of Michael Schumacher. Felipe Massa was down in seventh and Toyota chose to run both full-time drivers Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock, the rookie getting the better of the Italian. Also on track were David Coulthard, Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato, and Force India sent Giedo Van Der Garde and Rolden Rodriguez out.
